What is Sugarcane ?

India is the second largest producer of sugarcane in the world after Brazil. Most of the sugarcane grown in India is used to make gur (Jaggery) followed by khandsari (Unrefined or brown sugar), and finally, processed Sugar using chemicals and sulphur.
